In a fast-paced world, people of various backgrounds resort to microblogging as a convenient way to express themselves freely, especially after social media outlets like Twitter have gained popularity; an "on point" approach that delivers news/ statements or views in 140 characters or less. Your ability to disseminate the message in a sound language to the largest audience possible, interact or even persuade them into adopting your views shall earn you the title of a "Social Media Influencer". Although I disagree with the use of "influencer" as an adjective here, but that's beside the point of our discussion today, as I will be writing about it extensively in the upcoming posts.
Modern-day Marketing and PR agencies seek the help of such influencers to create a "BUZZ" on the product/ service they wish to market. Professional microbloggers and social media wizzes will utilize all-possible means to get those hashtags flooding the timelines, and those viral vlogs through shares, retweets and/ or reposts.
As much as the exerted efforts mentioned above seem to serve their purpose, they are time-bound, which is usually limited to a 24-hour-period. **
Hence, good ol' fashioned full-fledged blogging is timeless compared to the ever-changing trending topics on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
After being committed to microblogging for eight straight years, I am going back to blogging because I have come to the conclusion that some brands find it difficult to keep an eye on all the action that's going on different platforms, in order to assess and analyze the engagement i.e. impressions each post/ tweet has reached.
Therefore, a blog that aggregates the actions taken by the influencer is not such a bad idea after all, IMHB (at least in my humble opinion)!
I have decided to interchange between microblogging and blogging, on one hand to instantly cover the brand's news on multiple social media outlets, and to have something concrete that proves my hard work and dedication on the other hand.
The two methods (blogging and microblogging) have their share of pros and cons. For example, struggling to expanding the attention span of your readers, in an age people don't have time to read since other faster means have emerged keeping them up-to-date instantly; yet, it unfortunately doesn't have a lasting effect, and so on and so forth. Nonetheless, I find them both indispensable in an era media has evolved to ensure its sustainability just like everything else.
I take this opportunity to announce that I will be dedicating this blog "Dina Touring Jordan & Beyond" to publish my honest reviews on everything lifestyle I have experienced or tried whether during my stay in Jordan or my snappy visits abroad.
I kindly ask you to subscribe to my blog, to give me your constructive and valuable feedback.
